So i realized today that i have totally been neglecting my blog entries .. when i fist started I said to myself I would try to do at least one a week, but as usually things got in the way and it got pushed back.  So today I figured .. what the heck, just as well write some random blathering about what has been going on to make things so crazy.

Where to even start …

Well first off I am doing really well, feeling good for a change which in my world is a huge deal.  So the bad news.  On the night of the 14th of July we were robbed.  They broke into my garage and stole my new Trek bike.  It was a good 3 months while it lasted i suppose.  So I have had to deal with all that drama.  Had to buy a new bike, fix the garage door, replace the locks and about 100 other random things to at least make myself feel a little safer.  Going to get a security door for the back of the house ordered tonight.  At least that will give me some feeling of security (false or not).  Last night I installed a pretty cool gadget on the garage door that rings in the house if the door is ever opened.  That way at least if they kick the door in again everyone in the house will know it pretty quickly.  Our dog hates the doorbell sound, so his ballistic barking will be a pretty good indication that something is going down in the hood.

Like i said I bought my new bike.  Went with another Trek but decided to spring the extra dough to get the road bike I really wanted in the start.  So I am really enjoying the new ride, although my tush says another story (road bike seats are hard .. like bricks hard).  I am slowly getting used to the amount of effort it takes to get this bike moving, and my legs are getting back into shape.  All i can say is this bike is so much faster than the other one … takes some effort to start but once started it really flies in comparison.  Skinny little tires with wind blades on the inside make it really streamlined.  They even got me to wear a helmet … times are changing .

That’s about all the incoherent rambling I can take for one day.  If you are interested in following my private posts, then you need to stop being lazy and register.

This will be my first post using the wordpress engine, with a new theme .. slightly modified.  I suppose I will mostly dedicate this blog to tech, since that is where I live these days.  Occasionally you will get a splattering of personal info, but mostly just technobable.
