Pomegranate Mediterranean Cuisine

So 4/25 was my birthday … and I had in mind that I wanted to try something a bit new for a change. We seem to have hashed over the same restaurants about a 100 times each. All the ones we go to are great, but a change was in order. I personally am a huge fan of Mediterranean food… i could eat it and Asian pretty much every day of the week, although I am very picky about both. I had been online looking at reviews of Pomegranate and thought it worth at least a look to see how it faired.
Upon entering we immediately fell for the interior .. don’t let the strip mall facade fool you, the inside makes up for it. Dark woods and low lighting framed some wonderful smells coming from the open kitchen just feet from our booth. The wait staff was on top of things and very attentive. So far we were impressed, so now on to the food. I ordered Hummus … you just cant go to a Mediterranean place and not have it .. would have to consider that heresy. We are both rather big snobs on hummus … theirs was amazing. Not too overpowering in garlic and just the right amount of spices. Honestly the best we have had in town … and we eat it frequently. We followed this up with a soup (crab bisque… which was divine), and a salad. Next on the menu was Paella for me and Kabobs for my wife. Both were excellent, but the paella was just outstanding. The shrimp were very large and the scallops were done just right.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone feeling up for something new, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is very nice. It’s a great place to sit down and have a lovely chill lunch or dinner.
